NRT- Nutrition Response Testing & CrossFit as explained by Dr. Jennifer Jara, D.C.
NRT is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the underlying causes of ill health. When these are corrected through safe, natural, nutritional means, the body can repair itself in order to attain and maintain more optimal health.
As seen in my pictures below I think it's important that your doctor practice what they preach. Chiropractic and health is more than a career to me, it's my life and my lifestyle. I exercise regularly about 3-4 times per week doing CrossFit. In regards to eating, as I have taught my young daughter we Eat to Live NOT live to eat ! I do not have a perfect diet but I am consistant about eating healthy, lots veges, drinking water and taking my supplements. I do love my Trader Joe chocolates and I have a love hate relationship with coffee. I make fresh vegetable-fruit juice 4-5 days per week for myself and family with the a Breville juicer. My secret is maintaining a consistant balance within my body. I am assessed regularly with NRT to make sure my health is as great as it can be and that I am NEVER nutritionally deficient with my supplements!
Nutrition Response Testing-NRT is very precise and accurate with your body's current state of health or crisis. However, if I were to analyze you using NRT before it was explained to you, you might find it strange and non-conventional only because it is probably very different from anything you may have experienced previously.
If you want to get healthy and stay healthy, it is imperative that you understand the basic components that make-up your health and the importance of what you put into your body. Supplements make the difference in the results you desire to obtain. The results I get in my office fluctuate in the 80-90 percentile success range.
The key to my success with nutrition is using supplements that are derived from whole food and-or animal product. Most of the supplements that you can buy out there use synthetic ingredients for prolonged shelf life. Most people do not know what their body truly needs or which organs and systems are deficient. Each person must be assest individually.
There is NO 1/day supplement! That is just clever marketing geared to the fast food nation mentality we have here in America. Think about it.....do you really believe that "one vitamin" is going to address every single function, organ, and system that your body needs to perform every single minute of the day and night? The more you know the more your understand, which means you make better decisions for your health that work!
In traditional medical practice there are two key parts: the diagnosis (identifying and/or naming the "disease" or syndrome) and the treatment (drugs, surgery, injections etc.)
In NRT we do not diagnose or treat the disease-instead we have two parts; the analysis (the assesment of your body's current health status) and the personalized health improvement program (using Designed Clinical Nutrition).

CrossFit For Life!
My workouts primarily consist of the Crossfit technique and cardio exercise in the form of running. I workout at the www.CrossFitHollywood.com location with the owner Andy Thompson. Crossfit in my opinion is the best exercise developed today. It utilizes the entire body in a functional capacity therefore obtaining maximum results in far less time then what traditional workouts or weights can provide.
CrossFits daily nationally designed programs help you to develop Lean Body Mass and increase your Cardiovascular ability simultaneously. I am a very busy mom and business owner so I don't have time to hang out at the gym daily for 1-2 hours to do cardio and weights. Crossfit is ever challenging and I am thankful that I can do exercises and Olympic level workouts that I never thought were possible due to residuals from my traumatic car accident.
